Annual House Goals Report Card

Last Jan, I documented all of my 2022 firm goals in 1 big blog post. I wanted to share all of my project plans and decorating dreams, and I also wanted to have that listing to look back at a year later on. It's fun to run across the progress made on the business firm in one year, and information technology'southward also comical to laugh at how miserably I failed on other business firm goals. So today begins a new yearly tradition of "grading" myself on how I did with my business firm goals from terminal yr. Permit'south accept a wait!

Ranch House

Outside GRADE: F

I had grand plans for outdoor projects, merely I can't officially bank check off whatsoever of the items I listed a year ago. What a total fail! I had hoped to upwardly the curb appeal by removing the crazy bushes out front end and creating a pretty patio to the left of the front door (there'due south already a cement slab there). Those projects didn't happen, only I did make some progress on planning them, and I'1000 hoping to get to work on the curb appeal items in one case the weather condition warms up this spring. Other items on the list were immigration out the junk leftover from the by owner in the garage, which I partially accomplished, and disguising the falling apart retaining wall in the backyard. Lots of outside work to do in 2017!

Check out this cute living room tour all decked out for Christmas!

ENTRY GRADE: D

Oh goodness, I didn't make much progress here either! Good thing these grades are capricious, considering I'm not doing so hot! Our entryway is the tiniest little nook inside our front end door, simply I did want to add coat hooks behind the door, organize the coat closet, pigment the doors and paint the trim. I didn't become any painting done or hooks hung, but I did completely make clean out the coat closet and reorganize everything a couple weeks ago. We really don't utilise this closet much, so there was a lot of ataxia stashed inside that I was able to get rid of!

What a gorgeous fall living room! I love the pops of red she added into this blue/neutral room. Check out that gallery wall! Great home tour.

LIVING ROOM GRADE: C

Since I focused on the living room quite a fleck in the start twelvemonth we lived in this house, there wasn't a whole lot on the list for last year. I wanted to add a bit more seating, which I did by bringing in my thrift store rocking chair, an former manager'south chair and a pocket-size bench. I also wanted to add together more art on the walls, and withal accept work to do on that. I as well wanted to upgrade the calorie-free fixtures, which volition remain on the list as a futurity project.

This happy kitchen is full of whites, blues and greens. Shows even small kitchens can look pretty!

KITCHEN GRADE: A

I did a lot of work to our kitchen in 2022 and am so happy with how it looks! I accomplished everything on my goal list ranging from hanging curtains to touching upwardly paint and organizing cupboards. The one item I didn't tackle was adding pullout shelving to the pantry cupboard, so that will be going on the 2022 list.

Check out this beautiful dining room sunflower centerpiece. And that big chalkboard in the background is so neat!

DINING ROOM GRADE: F

I've been spending a lot of time planning projects for the dining room, but I haven't executed whatsoever of them yet so I failed at checking anything off of my 2022 list. I call up the dining room is going to be my next big room project, and all of the items from last year's checklist are still in the plans including painting the hutch, upgrading the lighting, adding a gallery wall and organizing the cedar closet.

This navy bedroom is gorgeous! Check out what she did in just five weeks for the One Room Challenge. Lots of bedroom DIY projects and pretty details.

MASTER BEDROOM GRADE: A+

I totally aced this room! Our master bedroom saw huge improvements in 2022 and I tackled well-nigh everything on the list: painted walls + trim, defunction, organized cupboard, painted dresser. The one detail left undone is to add/build a headboard.

SECOND BEDROOM Course: C

This bedroom is currently used as our part and hasn't really been touched since we moved in two years agone. I had planned to paint the room, simply decided to table that project for subsequently. I did purge the clutter and organize the closet as I had planned!

Check out this neutral gray bathroom with white board and batten. Love this One Room Challenge room makeover! It's amazing what you can do to transform a small bathroom.

BATHROOM GRADE: A+

I knocked this project out of the park! I completed every unmarried job on the list including painting the walls + trim + doors, organizing the closets, adding a shelf above the toilet, upgrading the mirror and replacing the shower pall.

DOWNSTAIRS REC ROOM Form: F

This is a room I'd love to tackle, but we ultimately decided to hold off on information technology and focus our fourth dimension and coin on the upstairs for now. With but the ii of usa, we don't actually need the extra space right now anyhow. We have a walkout basement, which sounds fancy until y'all see the lackluster room ;). This room looks the same as this photo from motion-in 24-hour interval, just picture some stacks of storage boxes in the corner.

LAUNDRY/UTILITY ROOM Class: F

This is i of those projects that'due south easy to put off because it'southward in the basement where no one sees it and information technology functions just fine, although it's far from pretty. While I could dream near a lot larger projects like lighting and drywalling in this unfinished surface area, for 2022 I had hoped to meliorate the space by adding some shelving and sprucing things up a bit.

Craft Studio Final 55

Craft STUDIO Grade: A

This projection was easy to ace! I had just wrapped up a total makeover of the craft studio at the end of 2015, and so my only goal for 2022 was to improve the organization in this infinite. I spent a few afternoons organizing my craft supplies and finding space for a lot of my paint and home improvement supplies. And I can honestly say it'south clean and organized as I type this!

I promise you had a good laugh at this report bill of fare! I conspicuously had lofty goals for 2022 and, while I didn't accomplish fifty-fifty half of them, I'm nonetheless actually proud of all of the progress I fabricated last twelvemonth.

I'll be dorsum next week to share my 2022 domicile goals! I'm going to endeavour to proceed them a bit more realistic than I did last year ;).

Have an first-class day!
